As a Town Councillor and District Cllr I have been involved in campaigning for the roundabout at the top of Holway road since 2017. I helped to write the initial bid for funding through the Coastal Community Team and have annually requested it to be considered as part of the Highways Capital Budget programme.

As a local resident, I know what a concern this is to the community and for both residents and visitors. Recently this was a top priority identified by respondents in our Sheringham Summer Survey and also on the doorstep during County Elections

This is the letter below which your three Sheringham District Cllrs sent to the Norfolk County Council Portfolio holder for Highways Cllr Martin Wilby, prior to the Cabinet discussion about the proposed increases to highways funding on the 6th September. This agenda item did not include discussions to cover projects such as the Sheringham Roundabout. There was no representation for the town from County at this meeting.
